Creating, opening and saving AutoCAD drawings
Create a new drawing can be when you start AutoCAD, as well as in the process of AutoCAD. In the video tutorial, AutoCAD, we consider creating new drawings using dialog boxes "Getting Started (Startup)" and "Creating a new drawing".
Change settings AutoCAD drawing after it is created, you can manually using command: Limits, Units, etc. (More info in the video tutorial, AutoCAD).
Since the drawings are not in one single day or for a single use, they should be retained. The drawings created in AutoCAD are stored on your computer in files with the extension .dwg.
Saving AutoCAD drawing is possible in 3 ways:
- selecting File (File) from the menu bar - Save (save);
- by clicking on the Save button on the toolbar (or on the Quick Access Toolbar);
- At the command prompt Save (_SAVE).
As most of the drawings in AutoCAD program can be saved on a different name, and thus change the format of the drawing.
AutoCAD supports export drawings in formats other graphics programs and more.
