Interface AutoCAD is the appearance of AutoCAD
After installing AutoCAD, let's devote the next video lesson to the appearance of this program - the AutoCAD interface.
Before you begin to study the commands of AutoCAD and system variables, master the appearance of AutoCAD, its elements. Only after studying the basic drawing and editing commands, proceed to Customizing AutoCAD: its interface, general settings, etc.
The AutoCAD interface is no more complex than the interface of such popular text editors, Word and Exel, and in many cases they are even very similar.
Main interfaces (workspaces) AutoCAD
There are several predefined workspaces in AutoCAD:
- 2D drawing and annotation;
- basis of 3D;
- 3D modeling;
- classic AutoCad.
Workspace AutoCAD "2D drawing and annotation" is designed to work with 2D drawings. Workspaces "3D Basics" and "3D Modeling" are created for modeling in AutoCAD. The workspace "Classic AutoCAD" was created for a long time working in the program. In the classic form of the AutoCAD workspace is organized on floating toolbars and menu bars (the classic organization of the workspace AutoCAD without tape tools).
Work is necessary in all working areas of the AutoCAD and take from them the best! Having mastered the predefined workspaces and relying on your practice of working in AutoCAD, create a user interface for yourself.
Working spaces AutoCAD for organizing panels and their configuration can be broken roughly into 3 groups:
- tape interface AutoCAD, the interface is based on a tape of tools;
- the classic AutoCAD interface, based on the organization of the interface to lay the menu bar and floating panels;
- user interface AutoCAD, is based on the individual settings of the AutoCAD interface.Элементы рабочего пространства Автокад
- The title of the program is AutoCAD.
- Shortcut menu.
- System button AutoCAD.
- Search request field in the AutoCAD help system.
- The menu bar.
- Tape tools.
- File tabs.
- Viewport Control Panel AutoCAD.
- Classic floating toolbars.
- Species cube.
- Crosshair with a gun sight.
- Pictogram of the CPM (MSC).
- Command line.
- Status bar (modes).
- Tabs of sheets.
- Graphical area of the drawing AutoCAD.
Ribbon interface in AutoCAD
With AutoCAD 2009 version, the organization of the window is based on the newfangled tape interface. Its difference from the old classic interface is that all the floating toolbars of AutoCAD are collected in a tape of tools.
Dynamic Toolbar Toolbar AutoCAD
The Ribbon Toolbars can be included in various groups represented on the Ribbon by Tabs.
Do not forget that the AutoCAD tool belt is a dynamic AutoCAD tape, because allows you to move its panels to the drawing area of the drawing and back. That is, ribbon toolbars can behave like floating panels like classic floating toolbars.
Toolbars can be minimized to one button or panel names.
By default, the toolbar is at the top of the window, in the expanded form. At the moment after the title of the AutoCAD window I have a menu bar, then a tape of tools. This is the most convenient location for the AutoCAD toolkit for newbies and recently working in this program.
Classic interface in AutoCAD
The old version of AutoCAD used a classic interface based on the menu bar and toolbars.
User Interface in AutoCAD
The combined (user) interface in AutoCAD is a joint combination of the tape interface and the classic in AutoCAD. This user autocad automatically adjusts to his needs (preferences) due to individual (adaptive) AutoCAD settings. The fact is that AutoCAD retains the ability to use the menu bar, toolbars together with the tool belt. Also, the tape of tools can be completely closed (hide in AutoCAD) and display only the toolbars, i.e. completely recreate the classic interface in AutoCAD. This way we will consider below answering the question "How to make a classic interface in AutoCAD?"
The AutoCAD user interface is characterized by more subtle adaptive interface settings, minimizing the AutoCAD interface elements that close the drawing area of the drawing.
Methods for switching interfaces (workspaces) in AutoCAD, their parameters
Switching the workspace AutoCAD in the Quick Access toolbar - the drop-down list of interfaces in the AutoCAD (all interfaces transferred from older versions of AutoCAD are also displayed). In the new versions of AutoCAD this list was hidden from the Quick Access Toolbar, so you need to configure it. How to configure the Quick Access Toolbar for you can look here.
Switching the workspace AutoCAD in the status bar (modes) AutoCAD The button gear button opens the list of AutoCAD interfaces.
Configuring the workspace list AutoCAD, general settings
In the list of AutoCAD workspaces, select the "Workspace Options" line.
The Workspace Options dialog box displays a list of all AutoCAD workspaces. You can make a general configuration of the list and all the changes to the workspaces, namely:
- Determine the name of the workspace, which will be displayed in the panel and in the "Workspace" menu;
- the order of the names of workspaces AutoCAD (use the buttons up, down the dialog box or context menu);
- Add a dividing line between each workspace name;
- Display or hide the AutoCAD workspaces in the list (you must either install or remove the dock against the workspace);
- When switching workspaces, they will automatically save changes or not.
Fine-tuning and changing workspaces into AutoCAD through customizing the user interface
In the AutoCAD individual settings section, we touched on the theme of fine tuning the AutoCAD interface through the "Customize user interface" dialog box.
You can also call this window through the list of AutoCAD workspaces.
Using the "Customize the user interface" dialog box in the AutoCAD, you can delete, copy, duplicate, rename, create, select, etc. working spaces. In the framework of this topic, we omit the subtle settings of the AutoCAD interface.
How to Make a Classic AutoCAD Interface
In new versions of AutoCAD, the ability to switch to the classic interface was removed, so many people have the question "How to make a classic interface in AutoCAD?".
Pre-installed Classic View AutoCAD has disappeared from the workspace list, so create your own custom classic AutoCAD interface by just a few steps.
The first step in creating a classic AutoCAD is to close the tape in AutoCAD, because We will use only classic floating panels. You can close the toolbar in the AutoCAD in the following ways:
Right-click any ribbon tab and select Close from the shortcut menu.
Register the name of the command in the command line Lentazakr.
Many novice users of the AutoCAD system lose the tape of tools due to carelessness in the program, so in order to return the tape of tools, simply write the command Tape and press Enter.
The second step in creating the classic AutoCAD interface is displaying the AutoCAD menu bar above the toolbar. Enable the display of the menu bar as in the old classic view AutoCAD can be in several ways:
On the Quick Access Toolbar, click the arrow button in the far right and expand the list of settings. Select the Show menu row from the list.
Write the name of the system variable on the Menubar command line and set it to 1.
The third step in the return of the classic interface is the display of all the floating toolbars. Write down the name of the command in the command line -Panel. Note that there is a hyphen in front of the coman. Select the All-Paste option.
As soon as the command is executed, the AutoCAD window will fill in all the toolbars available in the program. Close the unused toolbars and secure them to the edges of the window. Classic floating panels in the AutoCAD can be fixed. How to work with toolbars can look here.
The fourth step and the final one is saving the current AutoCAD space under a new name different from the current one so that you can not reset its settings. In the AutoCAD workspaces drop-down list, select the line Save current as ... A small dialog box will appear. Save the workspace in the field where you need to register the name of the new AutoCAD workspace, for example, "2D classic AutoCAD."
Which AutoCAD interface to use
Until now, there has been a debate about which of the two AutoCAD interfaces is better. I suggest working with two interfaces at least for a while, and then choose one or another interface. My choice was based on the user interface of AutoCAD, based on the menu bar and toolbars, toolbars.
At the time of writing, I use AutoCAD 2017 and uniquely developers of this system, no longer support the classic view of AutoCAD. New classical toolbars are not added or recycled, although new commands and system variables appear with each new version of AutoCAD, old ones are being modified. Take the same projection views used in the AutoCAD simulation - no classical panel has been added. If you are an adherent of the classic AutoCAD, then to further use it, you need to know how to adapt the interface to your needs.
