Orthogonal UCS in AutoCAD 3D
Orthogonal user coordinate system (UCS) is already preinstalled in AutoCAD. In AutoCAD, there are 6 orthogonal UCS:
- UCS top.
- UCS right.
- UCS front.
- UCS bottom.
- UCS left.
- UCS right.
Choosing any orthogonal user coordinate system (UCS), we force AutoCAD to turn the whole system of coordinates so that its XY plane (work plane) parallel to the appropriate standard / orthogonal view. ViewCube in AutoCAD perfectly reflects this process.
The origin is not changed in an orthogonal UCS. AutoCAD automatically enters orthogonal UCS when choosing a standard / orthographic views.
Using orthogonal UCS in AutoCAD, we can easily produce the construction of the frontal, profile, horizontal planes. If you want to draw in the planes do not coincide with the main, it is possible to set the UCS in AutoCAD are not tied to the standard / Orthogonal species.
