Definition

Donut in AutoCAD is an object representing two concentric circles, internally space between which is filled with current color or, in other words, polyline in AutoCAD of given width.

For construction of Donut in AutoCAD, command "Donut" is responsible, which can be called in one of following ways (start creating ring):

• it is possible to build Donut from menu bar item "Drawing" - line "Donut";
• You can create Donut object in programme from Home tab of tool ribbon — in Drawing group, Donut button;
• You can draw it from Drawing toolbar - Donut button (not available by default);
• and also directly create Donut in AutoCAD from command line by writing name of command in command line "Donut".

How to draw Donut in program

The main parameters characterizing construction of Donut in AutoCAD: internal, external diameter and center of Donut.

You can specify inner diameter of Donut by specifying two points in drawing with mouse or by entering diameter value in command line. Press "Enter", thereby agree with default value of 20 mm. program will display request:

You can specify outer diameter of Donut by also specifying two points in drawing with mouse or by entering diameter value in command line. Press "Enter", thereby agree with default value of 30 mm. sketch of Donut appears in AutoCAD. command prompt will prompt:

Now you need to specify center point of Donut. As soon as you specify center, Donut will be built, but "Donut" command will remain active, and you can build several of same rings. "Donut" command in AutoCAD is cyclic command, so in order to complete it you need to press "Enter" or interrupt by pressing "Esc" key.

Donut in AutoCAD - Polyline of given width

Select Donut in AutoCAD. Open Properties panel window. properties of Donut in title spelled "Polyline". In "Geometry" section, width of polyline segment is specified (there are total of two).
